How To Find Out If Your Loved One Is Here
-
The Sheriff's Department's online inmate locator covers every San Bernardino County jail, including the Central Detention Center. You can search by name to see whether someone is in custody and where they are housed.
-
If you would rather not search on your own, call us. With your loved one's full name and date of birth, we will find out where they are and what their bail is.
How Bail Works At The Central Detention Center
Because this jail holds two kinds of inmates, the first thing we check is whether your loved one is being held on a county case or a federal case.
If it is a county case, bail usually follows San Bernardino County's bail schedule, or a judge sets it at the first court appearance. Once bail is set, we handle the bond. You pay a premium instead of the full bail amount, and we explain the premium, payment options, any collateral, and the cosigner's role before anything is signed.
If it is a federal case, the federal court handles release, and Home Now Bail Bonds does not write federal bail bonds. We will tell you that straight away, so you can look for the right help without losing time.
What Happens After The Bond Is Posted
-
After the bond is posted, the jail processes the release. Release takes time, and we cannot promise an exact release time, but we will tell you what to expect.
-
Your loved one will receive a date for their first court appearance, and the paperwork lists where it will be. Going to every court date is the most important part of the bail agreement.
